Inglis Out: Australia to Name Replacement for Fifth Test

Melbourne, December 22 - Cricket Australia has confirmed that Josh Inglis will miss the upcoming fifth test match against India in Sydney due to injury. The Australian opener sustained a low-grade calf strain while fielding on day two of the fourth test match.

According to a statement from Cricket Australia, Inglis will leave the squad to undergo rehabilitation and is expected to be available for the team's tour of Sri Lanka later next month. The five-match home series against India is set to conclude on December 30.

The Australian cricket board has assured fans that a replacement in the squad for the fifth test match will be announced at an appropriate time. Inglis, who has been a vital member of the Australian team, had initially played four out of five tests matches against India before succumbing to his injury.

With the tour of Sri Lanka following the home series, Australia is confident that Inglis and his teammates will be in top form for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship series.
