Info Edge Sees Growth in Revenue despite Slower Billings

Mumbai, November 25, 2022 - Info Edge, a leading recruitment business group, has reported a 9 percent growth in revenue to Rs 495 crore in the second quarter (July and September) of fiscal year 2025. The billing of its job portal, Naukri.com, grew by 14% to Rs 492 crore during the same period.

The company's operating profit improved by 6 percent year-on-year to Rs 286 crore, accounting for an operating profit margin of 58 percent. The cash generated from recruitment operations stood at Rs 289 crore, representing an 8 percent year-over-year growth.

According to Hitesh Oberoi, Co-promoter and Managing Director of Info Edge, the revenue growth lagged behind billing growth due to slower billings over the last two or three quarters. However, the recruitment segment has now started performing well with growth across all segments - IT, non-IT, and consultants.

The recruitment business saw a 14 percent year-over-year increase in billings, marking a double-digit growth after five quarters. The IT segment grew by 12 percent, while the non-IT and recruitment consultant segments showed an increase of 20 percent and about 10 percent, respectively.

Oberoi attributed the improvement to rising demand for talent, with metrics like searches and CV views on the rise. Naukri.com alone added an average of 24,500 resumes every day in Q2 of FY25. The recruitment website hosts around 103 million resumes and 16 million app installations.

Info Edge will continue to heavily capitalize on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, with 70-80% of its AI efforts focused on Naukri.com. While the company has kept marketing spending low, allocated quarterly based budgets for the quarter, with no dedicated budget for a full year.
