IndiGo Launches Luxury Business Class Service on Delhi-Bengaluru Route
Mumbai: Indian low-cost carrier, IndiGo, has announced its expansion plans for luxury business class service, called IndiGoStretch. The airline will begin offering these premium seats on select flights from the high-traffic Delhi-Bengaluru route starting January 10.
IndiGo's Chief Executive Officer, Pieter Elbers, stated that the airline aims to serve 12 Indian routes with its business class product, and has added Delhi-Bengaluru as its second route. By March 2024, all daily flights between Delhi and Bengaluru will feature these premium seats, and a complete rollout on the Delhi-Mumbai route is planned by early January 2025.
Passengers booking IndiGoStretch seats can enjoy exclusive services including priority check-in, advance seat selection, zero convenience fees, and additional baggage allowance. Business class passengers will have access to 30 kg of check-in baggage (two bags) and one cabin bag of up to 12 kg.
IndiGoStretch was introduced on the Delhi-Mumbai route last month, making Delhi-Bengaluru its second operational route with this luxurious product. The airline has also hinted at plans to launch IndiGoStretch on flights between Delhi and Chennai in the near future.
The addition of luxury business class seats is seen as a significant offering by IndiGo, with customers eagerly anticipating the introduction of these premium amenities on the high-traffic route.
