India's Spin Attack Leads to Semifinal Victory, Sets Up Final Against Australia

New Delhi: Defending champions India U19 Women's cricket team emerged victorious against England U19 in the semifinals of the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup. The match was played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Wednesday.

Left-arm spinner Parunika Sisodia (3/21) and Vaishnavi Sharma (3/23) put up an impressive show, taking a significant toll of England's batting line-up. Limited to 113 runs for eight wickets, England faced a steep asking rate, which eventually caught up with them.

In reply, India Women U19 rode on exceptional half-centuries from opening pair G Trisha (35 off 29 balls and 5 fours) and captain G Kamalini (56 not out off 50 balls and 8 fours). Their partnership stood the test of time, with the opposing teams unable to make an impact.

The Indian spinners were instrumental in picking up crucial wickets. Sisodia struck thrice while Sharma claimed a further three wickets.

The win propelled India U19 into the final, where they will face Australia U19. This marks a significant milestone for Indian women's cricket, reflecting the country's growing dominance on the world stage.
