India's PM Narendra Modi Set for Multi-Nation Visit to Enhance Ties

New Delhi, June 14: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is all set to embark on a significant foreign trip to reaffirm and strengthen India's global presence. He will be visiting Cyprus from June 15-16, 2025, marking the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister in over two decades.

During his stopover in Nicosia, Cyprus, PM Modi will hold talks with President Nikos Christodoulides and address business leaders in Limassol to reiterate the shared commitment of India and Cyprus to deepen bilateral ties. This visit would further underscore New Delhi's engagement with the Mediterranean region and the European Union.

Modi's foreign tour is not limited to Cyprus, as he has also received an invitation from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to participate in the G-7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada on June 16-17. This will be PM Modi's sixth consecutive appearance at the prestigious summit, where he would engage with world leaders and international organisations to exchange views on critical global issues such as energy security, technology, and innovation.

Following his stopover in Canada, PM Modi will undertake an official visit to Croatia from June 18, 2025. This marked by the first-ever India-Croatia bilateral visit by a Prime Minister, aimed at strengthening New Delhi's ties with Croatian partners in the European Union.

The multi-nation tour of Indian PM Narendra Modi is seen as an exercise in diplomacy and global engagement, which would propel India's influence as a key player in international affairs.
