India's Cricket Schedule for 2025-27 World Test Championship Takes Shape

Mumbai: In the fourth edition of the World Test Championship (WTC), 2025-27, India is set to face a challenging schedule that includes away series in England and New Zealand.

The BCCI has announced that India will begin the cycle with a five-match Test series against West Indies at home. However, the exact dates of the India-West Indies Test series are not yet confirmed, but it is likely to take place in October this year.

Following the home series against West Indies, India will travel to England for another away assignment. The 5-match Test series against England will start from June 20-24 at Headingley in Leeds, with four subsequent matches scheduled for Edgbaston on July 2-6, Lord's on July 10-14, Old Trafford on July 23-27, and The Oval from July 31-August 4.

After the tour of England, India will host South Africa in a two-match Test series at home. November-December 2025 is expected to be the schedule for this assignment.

In 2026, India's focus will shift towards Sri Lanka as they are set to play a two-match series from August onwards. Following that, a two-match away series against New Zealand is also part of India's WTC campaign.

The cycle culminates with India hosting Australia in a five-match Test series, which promises to be an exciting event for cricket fans.

The 2023 WTC winners narrowly missed the final destination as they went down by six wickets against Australia on Sunday, January 5.India had begun with a dream run but it took them over to their first loss to Australia in the last five years.

Their chances were dented when Jasprit Bumrah suffered from an injury, forcing his side to struggle without him.
