In a boost to India's badminton prospects, world number one men's doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will resume their competitive campaign at the China Masters Super 750 tournament in Shenzen, China, starting on Tuesday.

After being sidelined from high-profile tournaments following a shoulder injury that forced Satwik to miss several major events, including the Arctic Open, Denmark Open, and China Open, the duo is ready to make a return after a lengthy recovery.

Their campaign will get underway against Chinese Taipei's Yang Po-Hsuan and Lee Jhe-Huei in the opening round.

In a separate development, two-time Olympic medallist P V Sindhu and young shuttler Lakshya Sen will look to overcome their recent struggles and make an improved showing at the tournament. Lakshya has endured early exits since his semifinal loss at the Paris Olympics, while Sindhu bounced back from her opening-round loss in Finland but was defeated by Michelle Li last week.

Promising youngsters Aakarshi Kashyap and Malvika Bansod will also be competing in the women's singles event. Aakarsi will face Tomoka Miyazaki of Japan in her opener, while Malvika will take on Line HĂžjmark Kjaersfeldt in the first round. India's mixed doubles team, consisting of Sikki Reddy and B Sumeeth Reddy, will also be in action.
