The seventh-seeded Indians defeated a strong Malaysian team consisting of Yew Sin Ong and Ee Yi Teo with a hard-fought victory on Friday. The closely contested quarterfinal match went the full distance, 26-24, 21-15 in favor of the Indian duo.
