Shreyas Iyer 33-ball 62 blitz alongside an impressive 52 from KL Rahul helped India post 174 for 5 against Bangladesh in the series decider on Sunday in Nagpur. Put into bat after losing the toss, India got off to a poor start, losing openers Rohit Sharma (2) and Shikhar Dhawan (19) inside the powerplay overs. But then Iyer and Rahul stitched a crucial 59-run partnership for the third wicket to steady India innings. Rahul departed soon after his sixth fifty but Iyer continued alongside Rishabh Pant for another 45-run partnership. In the process, Iyer got to his maiden T20I fifty but then departed, trying to up the scoring rate. Towards the end, sloppy fielding from the visitors and Manish Pandey-Shivam Dube duo helped India get past the 170-run mark.

Here we go!
Captains at the toss!
Rohit Sharma: “We would have bowled first as well. It’s a great challenge for us to bat first and post a good total. Teams batting first have managed to defend scores because of the slowness. The records are not for taking. It’s another day in the office, loving to play for my country. I have cherished it. We have got one change. Manish comes in for Krunal.”
Mahmudullah: “We’ll bowl first. The wicket looks good. India is a good chasing team, we’ll try to restrict them as low as we can so that we can chase it down. It was in our minds, but we have considered dew factor as well. In the middle-overs, the run-rate has to be there and we have to keep wickets for the last few overs. Mithun comes in for Mosaddek.”
