India to Showcase Comprehensive Approach to Health with 'One Health' Pavilion at IITF
New Delhi, Nov 13 (Alarian.com) - In a bid to promote holistic approaches to health, the Union Health Ministry will unveil its Health Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF), beginning November 14. The pavilion's main theme is "One Health", which focuses on the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr V K Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog, will officially inaugurate the Health Pavilion on November 14. The pavilion aims to educate visitors about its major healthcare achievements through 39 informative stalls that cover various stages of life.
The union ministry's health initiatives will be highlighted at the pavilion, including the launch of the U-WIN App for free vaccination for pregnant women and children, and the expansion of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to include senior citizens over 70 years. Visitors can also participate in screenings, counselling sessions for infectious diseases such as HIV, diabetes, hypertension, and non-communicable diseases.
For engaging visitors of all ages, the pavilion will feature installations, competitions, daily street plays, and children's educational games that combine entertainment with learning. A specially curated kids zone will have virtual reality games designed to explore healthcare in a fun and interactive way.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare hopes to spread awareness about the "One Health" approach, promoting a holistic view of health by integrating human, animal, and environmental well-being.
