INDIA TO EMBARK ON CONSTITUTIONAL LITERACY DRIVE
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has emphasized the significance of grasping the full potential of India's Constitution, urging all citizens to cultivate deeper knowledge of the foundational document that underpins the nation's governance.
As India approaches its upcoming Constitution Day celebration at the Samvidhan Sadan, Rijiju has expressed his commitment to promote constitutional literacy among Indians, revealing plans to distribute informative booklets on various aspects of the Constitution.
The government, in partnership with educational institutions and publishers, is set to publish two distinct booklets: one covering the basics of the Constitution, and another exploring its historical evolution and making. The latter will incorporate a range of visuals, including photographs, to facilitate an engaging understanding of constitutional amendments.
"By putting into practice this initiative about Constitution Day in 2023 that our government is organizing, I do so very earnestly in an attempt to reach at each and every school student in the country," Rijiju stated during the announcement.
