New Delhi, India - Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed India's remarkable performance in the first-ever QS World Future Skills Index, describing it as a testament to the country's efforts to empower its youth and drive innovation. "The QS World Future Skills Index not only underscores our efforts towards self-reliance but also highlights India’s potential to become a hub for innovation and enterprise," write PM Modi. "We are pleased, though we can take constructive cues to better the performance of India globally in the future."
According to sources, the index evaluated countries based on their readiness to meet the changing demands of the international job market by equipping education systems with resources that foster innovation, sustainable competition, and workforce development.
India has achieved a remarkable position secured at 25th place globally. In "Future Work", country scored a notable second-best mark after US.
However, experts caution that even as India stands among nations ready to hire workers in 'digital roles,' higher education institutions across the nation will need significant improvements in areas like AI and green technologies.
