The senior military officers highlighted the need for integrating response mechanisms and resolving internal conflicts in areas such as Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and left-wing extremism in order to promote social harmony.
Lt General Subramani emphasized that a robust economic security framework is crucial not only for national security but also for driving progress and prosperity. The army chief's vision calls for India to emerge as a technological leader by 2047, boasting an economy valued at over $30 trillion.
According to the Lt Gen's statement, India must navigate external challenges such as its prolonged border tensions with China and evolving global power dynamics in order to secure its nation-building efforts.
By 2047, Subramani envisions a country whose social fabric is defined more by trust and unity than division and discord. The $30 trillion economy envisioned for India will be powered by the fusion of peace and environmental security.
