IIT Delhi Launches 6-Month Certificate Programme in Data Science and Machine Learning

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched a six-month online Certificate Programme in Data Science and Machine Learning, aiming to equip early-to-mid career professionals with strong skills in data analysis, programming, and machine learning for real-world applications.

The programme, set to commence on June 29, 2025, is designed for professionals managing or contributing to software and ML projects, as well as those seeking to drive data-led innovation in their organisations. Participants will learn about Python, machine learning models, data processing, and interpretation with a focus on practical use.

Eligible applicants include graduates or diploma holders with at least 50% in Mathematics or Statistics in Class 12 from recognised institutions (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/state or international universities). The course fee is Rs 1,50,000 plus GST, which applicants will pay upon registration.

IIT Delhi's Certificate Programme in Data Science and Machine Learning is an industry-oriented programme that aims to transform data into actionable insights and build powerful predictive models. It is tailored for individuals interested in gaining a relevant and cutting-edge perspective on data science and ML for better career prospects, as well as those looking to apply data science and ML to enhance their business growth.

Upon completing the six-month course, participants who score at least 50% marks on aggregate in two out of three quizzes and maintain a minimum attendance of 70% will receive a completion certificate. Those who fail to achieve 50% marks but maintain a minimum attendance of 90% may be awarded a participation certificate.
