IFFI to Launch IFFIESTA in 2024: A Cultural Extravaganza in Goa
Mumbai, Nov 10 (Alayaran News) - The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is gearing up for a unique addition to its 2024 lineup with the introduction of IFFIESTA, a vibrant festival aimed at celebrating India's cultural diversity through cinema, cuisine, and art. Scheduled from November 21 to 28 at the Kala Academy on the scenic waterfront of Panjim, Goa, IFFIESTA promises an array of engaging activities.
According to a press release, IFFIESTA will feature performances by 11 traditional dance troupes, each showcasing the rich tapestry of India's cultural heritage. Food lovers will have the opportunity to indulge in a culinary journey at a curated food zone, where dishes from 15-20 of the finest local and national eateries will be available, highlighting the flavors of India's diverse culinary landscape.
In a nod to the intertwining worlds of fashion and film, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will present a fashion show titled "Six Decades of Indian Cinema." This event will feature designs inspired by iconic films, celebrating the evolution of Indian cinema through fashion.
The festival will also offer an immersive experience at the National Museum of Indian Cinema, where attendees can explore the historical and contemporary narratives of Indian films through an audio-visual journey.
Adding to the excitement, the Zomato District Entertainment Arena will provide fans with unique opportunities to interact with celebrities through meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions, and social media engagements. The arena will be alive with daily live performances, including music, DJ sets, and stand-up comedy, ensuring there's something for every visitor.
