IFFI 2024 to Launch IFFIESTA: A Celebration of Film, Food, and Culture in Goa
Mumbai: The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is gearing up for its 2024 edition with a new initiative, IFFIESTA, aimed at celebrating the convergence of cinema, cuisine, art, and culture. Scheduled from November 21 to 28 at the scenic Kala Academy in Panjim, Goa, IFFIESTA promises to be an entertainment extravaganza.
The festival will feature a vibrant display of India's cultural diversity with performances by 11 traditional dance troupes. Food enthusiasts will have a treat at a curated food zone where 15-20 of India's top eateries will serve dishes reflecting the nation's culinary diversity.
In a unique fusion of fashion and film, IFFIESTA, in collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), will present a fashion show. This event will showcase designs inspired by iconic moments from six decades of Indian cinema, celebrating the rich tapestry of India's film industry.
For film buffs, the festival offers an immersive audio-visual journey through the National Museum of Indian Cinema, tracing the evolution of Indian films from historical to contemporary times.
Adding to the excitement, the Zomato District Entertainment Arena will provide fans with opportunities for direct interaction with celebrities through meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions, and social media engagements. The arena will also be alive with daily live performances, ranging from music and DJ sets to stand-up comedy, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the festival.
IFFIESTA is not just a film festival but a cultural festival that aims to unite communities through shared experiences of art, culture, and entertainment, making it a must-visit event this November in Goa.
