Hyderabad Police Organises Highly Successful 4-Day Annual Sports Meet

Hyderabad, January 23 - The four-day annual sports meet of the Hyderabad police department concluded on Thursday with great fanfare, concluding on a high note. TheClosing ceremony was attended by the Commissioner of Police CV Anand, along with other dignitaries.

The event featured a wide range of sports and competitions including 100-meter races, tug of war, horse jumping, pegging, dazzling dance performances, and patriotic songs. The Central Armed Reserve headquarters emerged as the top ranking team in the competition.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest and Telangana Principal Secretary A Santhi Kumari extolled the virtues of sports, stating that "everyone should have time for sports in their lives. Playing sports makes them mentally strong, not just physically."

Commissioner Anand lauded the efforts of the Hyderabad police officers and participants, crediting the success of the event to their hard work and dedication. He stated, "Sports increase willpower, ability to overcome setbacks and strengthen self-confidence. I am pleased with the participation of 2,000 male and female police personnel in this event."

The event also provided a platform for inter-departmental bonding among participants. The Hyderabad police officers were seen displaying their sporting skills with great enthusiasm. A championship-level sports meet is planned at the state level in the near future.

This annual event aims to promote physical fitness and mental well-being among the police personnel, as well as foster a culture of teamwork and camaraderie within the force.
