Honasa Consumer Appoints Yatish Bhargava as Chief Business Officer

Kolkata, India - Omnicosale retailer Honasa Consumer has appointed Yatish Bhargava as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO), effective from Tuesday. In this role, Bhargava will oversee business operations across brands and channels with the aim of scaling growth across all platforms.

Bhargava's appointment is part of Honasa Consumer's strategy to strengthen its omnichannel approach in the personal care market. With over 17 years of experience in profit and loss management, leading large-scale teams, Bhargava has worked under Indian ecommerce major Flipkart and FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever. Prior to joining Honasa, he has held key leadership positions where he successfully led category transformation, built scalable go-to-market strategies, and driven sustained growth across diverse consumer businesses.

Holding an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Bhargava brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and executional depth that aligns with Honasa Consumer's ambition to grow and lead in the beauty and personal care space in India. "Yatish brings a rare blend of strategic thinking and executional depth that aligns with our ambition," said Varun Alagh, co-founder and CEO at Honasa Consumer.

In his first financial results after the implementation of its offline restructuring plan, Honasa reported a 13% year-on-year (YoY) increase in operating revenue to Rs 533 crore for the March quarter. The revenue growth was significant despite the challenges posed by lockdowns during the quarter. However, the company also saw a 16% drop in net profit to Rs 25 crore during the period, down from Rs 30 crore in January-March 2023.

The Honasa Consumer share price closed 1.76% lower at Rs 305 per share on BSE compared to a 0.26% decline in the benchmark Sensesx. In this News:
