New Delhi: The 52nd edition of the World Book Fair got underway on Saturday with the presence of President Draupadi Murmu, at Bharat Mandapam here. Over 2,000 stalls showcasing books from more than 50 countries have been set up for public viewing, which will run until February 9.

Pushpa, a visitor enthusiastic about international relations and politics, expressed her eagerness to explore the vast collection of books on offer. "Every year, I make a list of books I wish to read ahead of the fair, which offers an impressive assortment of titles from across the globe," she said.
The event has been tailored with the convenience of working professionals in mind, having begun on Saturday and concluded on a weekend for the first time this edition. Literature enthusiast Akshay Pareek noted that this year's book fair promises to be different, stating "It will be easier for working people to visit, especially since it starts today." Fellow attendee Akshay Rastogi echoed similar sentiments, noting significant crowds at the entry gate and waiting times before gaining entrance.
