Government Launched Ayushman Vay Vandana Card Scheme for Senior Citizens

In a significant move to improve healthcare accessibility for senior citizens in India, the government has launched an "Ayushman Vay Vandana Card" scheme as part of its Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-JAY) programme.

Under this initiative, senior citizens aged 70 years and above can access a wide range of healthcare services at both government and private hospitals affiliated with the ABPM-JAY network. This means that eligible beneficiaries will not have to worry about healthcare expenses, providing them with assured care under the scheme.

To be eligible for the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card scheme, applicants must be Indian permanent residents and aged 70 years or older. Those interested in enrolling can do so online through the Ayushman App, where an Aadhaar card is required as a necessary document.

This timely initiative aims to address the healthcare needs of our aging population while providing them with financial security and peace of mind. As part of this scheme, beneficiaries will be able to receive quality medical care at affordable prices, ensuring that they can live their golden years without worrying about their health related expenses.
