Godrej Industries Acquires Savannah Surfactants Food Additives Business for Rs 76 Cr

Mumbai, November 12 (ANI): Godrej Industries has acquiring the food additives and emulsifier business of Savannah Surfactants Limited for a whopping Rs 76 crore.

In a recent regulatory filing, Godrej Industries announced that it has signed a 'Business Transfer Agreement' with Savannah Surfactants Limited to acquire their food additive and emulsifier business.

The deal value comes out to be around Rs 76 crore. This acquisition is likely to expand the product offerings of Godrej in the food and beverage segment.

As per company statement, The Acquisition of this unit in the food ester and emulsifer business will help the company grow its speciality chemicals business. This acquisition aligned with the commitment towards sustainable growth and innovation.

Godrej Industries (Chemicals) is one of the oldest businesses of group established in 1963. It has two manufacturing locations - Maharashtra and Gujarat, and R&D centre in India.

Company has operated in varied segments like home and personal care, oil and gas, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, rubber, chemical & polymer intermediaries, and lubricants & metal working fluids etc.
