Game Changer Hit The Big Screens Amid High Anticipation

Hyderabad, January [Today's Date]: The long-awaited action-packed film Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, finally hit the big screens on January 10, amidst high expectations and anticipation. After nearly six years, this film marked Ram Charan's return to cinemas as a solo hero.

However, according to its box office trend, the film seems to be struggling to maintain momentum. On day five of its release, Game Changer witnessed a growth in collections, with an increase of 33.20% in the domestic market. The Telugu version of the film has done exceptionally well, while the Hindi and Tamil versions have shown a better response.

As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, in just five days, Game Changer raked in Rs. 7.65 crore on Monday, suggesting that the total collections are likely to cross Rs. 100 crore mark in India. The overseas distributor of the film, Shloka Entertainments, reported a gross of over $1.9M in North America.

In an unfortunate turn of events, ahead of its release, the makers and key team members received extortion threats on social media and WhatsApp, resulting in the online leak of the film. Consequently, authorities registered cases against 45 miscreants involved in leaking pirated versions of the movie.

Responding to the critical acclaim for Game Changer's success, Ram Charan expressed his gratitude to fans, stating it was Sankranthi which brought joy after months of hard work. "Thank you," he posted on social media.

Produced by ace Telugu producer Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations and directed by helmsman S. Shankar, Game Changer is a crucial release this year for both Ram Charan and Shankar. With its reported budget of Rs 450 crore, it will be interesting to see if the film performs well at the box office.
