From IIT to Rs 750 Crore: The Journey of a Young Entrepreneur

A small-town boy from Jharkhand's Chaibasa has achieved remarkable success with his innovative startup, Bobble AI, with a revenue of Rs 750 crore. Ankit Prasad, who is now in his mid-twenties, credits his journey to the courage to take risks and pursue his entrepreneurial dreams after leaving IIT Delhi.

In conversation with Alarian.com, Ankit revealed that his entrepreneurial journey began during his school days when he started learning programming at six years old and developed a passion for web designing alongside his brother. Despite securing an impressive 400th rank in the IIT entrance exam of 2008, Ankit felt inspired by the startup ecosystem at IIT Delhi but ultimately decided to leave the prestigious campus to focus on building his own business.

In 2015, along with his brother Rahul, Ankit co-founded Bobble AI, a company that created innovative digital solutions. Their flagship product, the Bobble Indic Keyboard app, has garnered significant success, supporting over 120 languages and gaining traction worldwide.

Ankit's decision to leave the academic path for entrepreneurship has earned him recognition as one of India's most successful young entrepreneurs. His journey from a small town in Jharkhand to building a multi-crore business serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs who dare to challenge conventional norms.

"I was never motivated to study just to get a job; I always wanted to create something that would make a difference in people's lives," Ankit said. "Leaving IIT Delhi was one of the best decisions I ever made, as it allowed me to pursue my true passion."

Ankit's remarkable story showcases that innovation, risk-taking, and perseverance can lead to significant success even when taking an unconventional path.
