Former UP Leader Lal Krishna Advani Celebrated 97th Birthday with Heartfelt Greetings

New Delhi: Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Lal Krishna Advani, celebrated his 97th birthday on Friday, receiving messages of appreciation and congratulations from the nation's leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who described him as one of India’s most admired statesmen, extended heartfelt greetings to Advani, hailing his remarkable contributions to the country's development.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi posted on X: “Best wishes to LK Advani Ji on his birthday. This year is even more special because he was conferred the Bharat Ratna for his outstanding service to our nation. I am fortunate to have received his guidance for many years and pray for his long and healthy life.”

BJP National President J P Nadda also paid tribute to Advani, sharing his well-wishes. “I extended my heartfelt birthday wishes to senior leader, former Deputy Prime Minister, and ‘Bharat Ratna’ respected Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji at his residence and received his blessings. I pray to God that you always remain healthy and live long,” Nadda posted.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini extended his congratulations to Advani, describing him as a stalwart of Indian politics whose dedication and principles have inspired generations. “I met and congratulated former Deputy Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna, respected Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji, who played an important role in the development of the country,” Saini wrote.

Born on November 8, 1927, in Karachi (now in Pakistan), Advani began his political journey with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1942, going on to serve as BJP National President multiple times. His tenure included important roles as Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 1999-2004.

Advani's leadership had a profound impact on national security, governance, and shaping the country's political landscape.
