Five Arrested for Alleged Fraudulent Activities in Government Health Scheme Scam at Ahmedabad's Khyati Hospital

Ahmedabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Ahmedabad City Crime Branch has arrested five suspects in connection with embezzlement of funds from the government's Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) scheme at Khyati Hospital, sparking widespread outrage over the alleged fraud.

According to officials, a complaint was filed recently against Khyati Hospital, located on SG Highway in Ahmedabad, after allegations surfaced that staff and administrators were misusing government health funding for personal gains. The grievances came to light following the untimely deaths of two individuals from Borisna village in Kadi taluka, who had sought medical treatment at the hospital under the PMJAY scheme.

The police have now arrested five suspects, taking steps towards unearthing a massive conspiracy orchestrated by the hospital authorities. Their arrests are seen as a step forward for accountability and efforts to bring those responsible to justice for this egregious case of exploitation of vulnerable populations who had come forward in trust of government healthcare programs.
