FIT India Sundays on Cycle Celebrated Across Nation with 200 Riders from SAI

New Delhi: The fourth week of 'Fit India Sundays on Cycle' initiative was marked by an epic cycling event held at the iconic Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, featuring over 200 riders from the Sports Authority of India (SAI), led by FIT India ambassador Apoorv Om.

This nationwide movement, launched last month by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, is a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), Cycling Federation of India (CFI), and MY Bharat. In its fourth week, more than 100 cyclists from SAI's National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata flagging off the event, alongside renowned Indian archer Mangal Singh Champia and coach Dronacharya awardee Purnima Mahato.

Organised to promote environment-friendly practices and decrease air pollution levels across the country, 'Fit India Sundays on Cycle' has already witnessed participation from notable sports stars like Lovlina Borgohain, Sangram Singh, Shanky Singh, Nitu Ghanghas, and Simran Sharma (para world champion), as well as Indian Army jawans.
