Female Teachers Flock to Historic Sports Event in Sialkot

SIALKOT, PAKISTAN - In a historic first for the education sector in Pakistan, over a hundred female educators from across the province gathered in Sialkot for the 2025 Sports Event organised by the Higher Education Department, marking a major milestone in promoting women's participation in sports and fostering camaraderie among educators.

The event, guided by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, saw the creation of a specially designed sports field exclusively for female teachers, providing an opportunity for them to engage in healthy competition and team-building activities.

According to administrators, five thrilling sports competitions - badminton, table tennis, cricket, tug of war, and chess - were conducted across various institutions in Sialkot during the event. The conclusion of the 2025 Sports Event marked a successful completion of its inaugural edition.
