F1 2025 Season to Kick Off in Melbourne, Australia

Get set for a much-changed Formula 1 grid in 2025 as the final season of the sport's current rules era gets set for another 24-race tour around the world.

In the midst of Ramadan this year, F1 has announced its record-breaking 24 Grand Prix schedule for the second successive year. The new season of speed kicks off on March 16 with the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne, after skipping the opening round since 2019.

Traditionally held in early March, Bahrain will shift to April 13, hosting its fourth and fifth rounds respectively alongside Saudi Arabia's event on April 20. Other calendar changes include a one-week delay for the Belgian - Chinese - Austin - Brasil - Qatar Grands Prix sprint events replacing Austria in the 2025 schedule.

Notably, only three F1 teams will retain their original driver combinations from last year – Hamilton-James Hunt Ferrari alongside red bull's Verstappen Perez. Meanwhile Sergio Perez will remain with Aston on his renewal though this year his future was thrown onto cloud nine when he finalised a new contract on early November 2024 .

The other major news of the F1 2025 is the season opener is being held at London's O2 Arena. A historic event that is set to be attended by a huge gathering with multiple teams bringing their equipment there.

February 18: F1 75 Live season launch event, The O2

February 26-28: Pre-season Testing, Bahrain

March 14-16: Australian Grand Prix, Melbourne

March 21-23: Chinese Grand Prix (sprint), Shanghai

April 4-6: Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka

April 11-13: Bahrain Grand Prix, Sakhir

April 18 is taken by the Saudi Arabian event

May 2-4: Miami Grand Prix (Sprint weekend)

May 16-18: Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Imola.

June 13-15 Canadian Grand Prix

June 27 Austrian GP , Silverstone

July 25-27 Belgian sprint, spa

The final lap arrives. Next December the Abu Dhabi finale concludes before it will be transformed by F1 on December 7th.
