Exclusive: Getaway Entertainment Set to Uncover the Mystery of Bitcoin's elusive Founder in New Feature Film

Getaway Entertainment has teamed up with production company David O. Sacks Productions, producer Mark Goffman, and actress Sophia Banks to produce a feature-length film about Satoshi Nakamoto, the enigmatic creator of Bitcoin.

The movie is inspired by Andrew O'Hagan's long-form article "The Satoshi Affair" and promises to delve into the mystery surrounding Nakamoto's true identity. According to producers David Sacks and Daniel Brunt, the film will explore the events that led investigative journalist O'Hagan to investigate Nakamoto, as well as his pursuit to uncover the truth.

Directed by Banks, the film will not only explore the question of "Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?" but also examine the cultural and technological ripple effect of Bitcoin's creation. Sacks described the film as akin to watching "The Social Network" without knowing who the main character might actually be, indicating that the movie will blend investigative journalism with captivating storytelling.

Goffman praised the story, stating, "This isn't another story about crypto fraudsters or greed. This is the story of highly flawed, overlooked outsiders who rebelled against Wall Street in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis."

Getaway's upcoming slate of projects includes Carey Joji Fukunaga-helmed films such as "Blood on Snow" and "Hand of Dante," highlighting the production company's commitment to exploring complex, thought-provoking stories.

The film is set to be a significant addition to Getaway's lineup, joining other notable productions alongside "Oh, Canada," "Black Site," and "The Luckiest Man In America." With Banks at the helm as director, fans of gripping, character-driven narratives can look forward to an exciting new take on the story behind Bitcoin.
