Elon Musk Charms Indian Leaders, Eyes Collaboration

India's top entrepreneurs, including OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, recently met with Elon Musk at SpaceX's Starbase facility in Texas, where they witnessed the launch and booster catch of SpaceX's Starship Flight 7. The meeting, led by the India Global Forum (IGF), brought together a delegation of Indian leaders from diverse sectors, including technology, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Agarwal shared his experience with Elon Musk, describing him as someone who is "doing the most to evolve humankind." Musk was equally positive about India, praising its rich ancient history calling it an "ancient and great civilization."

In the meeting, discussions focused on technology's role in finance and AI innovation, as well as potential partnerships to address global challenges. Musk expressed his enthusiasm for the growing relationship between the US and India and commitment to pursuing interplanetary living.

One interesting observation from Agarwal was that this was only the second time SpaceX successfully caught a booster with chopsticks. Another notable moment was when Musk shared insights into his companies, including SpaceX, Tesla, and Neuralink.

Elon Musk also emphasized the importance of lowering trade barriers between the US and India to increase commerce. He stated, "Things are trending positive" towards collaboration in areas such as technology and space exploration.

The Indian delegation received NASA's official chopsticks, made specifically for catching boosters, as a token of appreciation from Musk. The event marked an opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs to engage with Musk and explore potential partnerships to drive innovation.

Musk expressed his admiration for India's vibrant culture, citing the popular Hindu festival Kumbh Mela as an inspiration in terms of community and cooperation. He also praised the vegetarian spread served at SpaceX.
