Eight Killed as Massive Russian Drone and Missile Attack Hit Ukraine City

A devastating Russian strike on a nine-story building in the city of Sumy, northern Ukraine, has left eight people dead and dozens injured, an official confirmed on Sunday.

The attack, described by officials as the largest in recent months, was carried out using a massive drone and missile assault that had residents fleeing their homes in panic. The building, located approximately 24 miles from the Russian border, has seen over 400 people evacuated to safety.

Tragically, two of those killed were children, according to Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. Rescuers are currently scouring every apartment in the damaged building to ensure no one remains trapped inside and are working tirelessly to pull anyone from the rubble amidst the destruction.

The sheer scale of the attack has brought widespread concern for the safety and security of civilians in Ukraine, with many expressing sorrow and outrage over the loss of life.
