Dzükou Cup Enters 2nd Day with Thrilling Matches

The 63rd annual games & sports-cum-4th edition "Dzükou Cup" of the Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) entered its second day today, with several high-stakes matches that left the audience on the edge of their seats.
In the Men's Football quarterfinals, Kidima Youth Organisation secured a nail-biting win over Kigwema Youth Organisation through a tie-break. They will now face Khuzama in the first semi-final on February 1 at Jakhama Local Ground by 9:00 AM.
Meanwhile, Mima Youth Organisation cruised to easy victories over Pfüchama Youth Organisation (2-0) and Phesama Youth Organisation (straight sets).
In Men's Volleyball, Kigwema Youth Organisation defeated Kezoma Urban Station Youth Organisation in the first semi-final by deciding sets. However, this will not be enough for them as they face off against Mima Youth Organisation in the final.
Women's football also saw several thrilling matches with Mima Youth Organisation emerging victorious over Viswema Youth Organisation (1-0), while Kidima Youth Organisation defeated Khuzama Youth Organisation by an astonishing margin of 5-0. They will now take on Mima Youth Organisation in the final to be played on February 1 at Jakhama Local Ground.
In another match, Kidima Youth Organisation took home a convincing win over Phesama Youth Organisation (1st semi-final) and then overpowered Mima Youth Organisation from Kigwema in the second semi-finals of women's volleyball. This paves their path for their final against the reigning Men’s Sepaktakraw champions as well.
At the close of it all, Viswema Youth Organisation emerged victorious in men’s sepaktakraw and bagged the top spot while Kidima Youth Organisation took out the top honours in Women's Sepaktakraw, beating out all comers to claim the championship.
The event was also graced by visiting dignitary Neilekho Zutso, Class-1 Contractor and Former Athletics Secretary Angami Sports Association, who called for the sportspersons to give their best and put extra efforts and run the extra mile to excel.
