Dubai has once again claimed the top spot in the Middle East and Africa according to the '2024 Global City Index' released by Brand Finance, marking its second consecutive year at the regional forefront. This year, Dubai has also climbed to the fifth position globally, overtaking cities such as Singapore, Los Angeles, Sydney, San Francisco, and Amsterdam.

The report highlighted Dubai's exceptional global reputation, placing it ahead of Sydney and London in this category. Notably, Dubai has surged in the rankings for local and remote work opportunities, jumping from 24th to 4th place. The city's strategic role as an international trade hub and its robust economy were also acknowledged, positioning it as the second-most influential city worldwide.

With a score of 86 out of 100, Dubai's performance across various key indicators reflects its economic resilience and forward-looking vision. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, credited this success to the visionary leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Dubai's appeal as a prime investment destination is further enhanced by its favorable corporate tax policies and forward-thinking initiatives. The city's advancements in education, connectivity, and visa accessibility continue to attract global talent and businesses, solidifying its leadership in the Middle East and North Africa region.
