Dubai Siblings Offer JioHotstar.com Domain to Reliance for Free
Dubai, UAE - In a surprising turn of events, Jainam and Jivika, a brother-sister duo known for their philanthropy in Dubai, have announced their decision to transfer the domain JioHotstar.com to Reliance Industries at no cost. This decision comes after weeks of speculation and media attention surrounding the domain, which the siblings had initially purchased to aid a developer's educational pursuits.
The domain JioHotstar.com was originally registered by a Delhi-based developer with the intention of selling it to Reliance for funding his MBA at Cambridge University. When Reliance declined the ₹1 crore asking price, the developer sold the domain to Jainam and Jivika, who were keen on supporting his educational goals.
Recent media buzz suggested a potential business deal between Jio and Hotstar, with speculation linking the domain to these corporate maneuvers. Addressing these rumors on their website, Jainam and Jivika clarified, “We never intended to sell the domain. Our aim was to support the developer and to share our journey of service with our followers.”
Despite receiving numerous offers for the domain, some of which were substantial, the siblings remained firm on their decision not to sell. “To check the authenticity of these offers, we reached out to some potential buyers. While some were genuine, the domain was never for sale,” they stated.
Their unexpected ownership of JioHotstar.com has now led to a heartfelt offer to Reliance. “We are happy to give JioHotstar.com to them for free, with all the proper paperwork,” Jainam and Jivika announced. They emphasized that this decision was entirely their own, free from any external pressure or influence.
To proceed with the transfer, the siblings have invited Reliance to contact them directly via email. They also took the opportunity to highlight their ongoing project, SevakArmy.com, through which they aim to mobilize global volunteers. “Our goal is to get 100,000 people to volunteer just 20 hours a year, which would amount to 2 million hours of service in the first year,” they explained.
This act of generosity and the focus on their broader mission underscore Jainam and Jivika's commitment to service over personal gain, marking another chapter in their unique journey as young philanthropists.
