Dubai Shines in Global City Index, Ranks Fifth Worldwide

Dubai, April 12, 2024 - Dubai has once again proven its mettle on the international stage, securing the top position in the Middle East and Africa for the second consecutive year in Brand Finance's '2024 Global City Index'. The city has not only dominated its region but also climbed to the fifth spot globally, outranking cities like Singapore, Los Angeles, Sydney, San Francisco, and Amsterdam.
The prestigious index, which evaluates cities based on various economic and strategic indicators, praised Dubai for its robust global reputation, placing it ahead of Sydney and London. Remarkably, Dubai has surged in rankings for local and remote work opportunities, jumping from 24th to 4th place. The city's strategic significance as an international trade hub and its vibrant economy have also been recognized, earning it the title of the second-most significant city globally.
With a score of 86 out of 100, Dubai's performance underscores its economic resilience and visionary leadership. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, credited this achievement to the strategic foresight of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that these successes are in line with the Dubai Plan 2030, which aims to boost the emirate’s global competitiveness.
Dubai's appeal as a leading investment destination is further bolstered by its favorable corporate tax policies and forward-thinking initiatives.
