Dubai-Based Philanthropists Offer JioHotstar.com Domain to Reliance for Free

DUBAI, UAE - In an unexpected turn of events, siblings Jainam and Jivika, known for their philanthropy in Dubai, have decided to donate the domain JioHotstar.com to Reliance Industries Ltd. at no cost, as announced through their website.

The domain, initially purchased from a Delhi developer who aimed to fund his MBA at Cambridge University, became the center of media attention due to speculation about its potential role in a merger between Jio and Hotstar. The developer's original plan to sell the domain to Reliance for ₹1 crore was unsuccessful, leading to its sale to Jainam and Jivika.

Despite receiving numerous offers to buy the domain, the siblings clarified on their platform that they never intended to sell it. "We found that while some offers were fake, a few were serious and offered a lot of money," they noted, emphasizing their commitment to using the domain for benevolent purposes rather than commercial gain.

Addressing the speculation, Jainam and Jivika stated, “Our only aim was to support the developer and use the platform to share our journey of seva (service) with our followers.” They further clarified that the domain was not linked to any corporate strategy but was a tool for good.

In a surprising move, the duo announced their decision to hand over the domain to Reliance, stating, "We are happy to give JioHotstar.com to them for free, with all the proper paperwork. This is entirely our choice. No one from Reliance or any legal group has contacted us or pressured us in any way."

They have invited Reliance to reach out to them directly to facilitate the transfer, emphasizing their independence in making this decision. Alongside this announcement, Jainam and Jivika shifted focus back to their ongoing project, SevakArmy.com, aiming to mobilize a global volunteer force. Their goal is to inspire 100,000 volunteers to contribute 20 hours a year, resulting in 2 million hours of service annually, effectively providing the equivalent of 1,000 full-time workers for NGOs.

This act of generosity underscores the siblings' commitment to service over profit, marking a significant moment in the ongoing narrative of JioHotstar.com.
