DHL Express Takes Top Spot in Global List of World's Best Workplaces

GENEVA - The prestigious Great Place to Work has announced its 2024 list of the world's top 25 companies, showcasing leaders who are setting a new standard for excellence in workplace culture.

The ranking is based on comprehensive surveys from over 7.4 million employees worldwide and an in-depth analysis of workplace programmes that impact more than 20 million people globally. This year, DHL Express has emerged as the first spot winner, closely followed by hotelier Hilton at number two, and AbbVie claiming third place.

Surprisingly, the companies on this list don't just confine themselves to one particular industry - in fact, nearly half of them belong to information technology, professional services, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Among the victors are giants like Cisco, Salesforce, NVIDIA, SC Johnson, and many more.

According to the report, employees working at these top companies report significantly higher levels of satisfaction and engagement than their counterparts at typical workplaces. Specifically, a whopping 55 per cent more employees say they feel that managers actually care about them - beyond just their job description - compared to the average workplace.

Similarly, an astonishing 48 percent see leaders embodying their company's values, surpassing the industry benchmark in this regard by an incredible 60 per cent. Perhaps most impressively, these top-performing companies outdo the norm when it comes to career advancement opportunities: promotion fairness has increased by a massive 60 percentage points over a typical workplace.

These phenomenal rankings serve as testament to the transformative power of strong organizational culture and commitment from leaders to their people - an essential benchmark for success in today's rapidly changing world.
