DELHI HIGH COURT TO HEAR TESLATrademark DISPUTE IN APRIL 2025 AS MEDIATION CONTINUES

The Delhi High Court will hear the dispute between Tesla and Indian trademark owner ZTEC Digital at its next hearing in April 2025, as mediation efforts between the two parties continue.

The hearing comes amidst ongoing proceedings related to a trademark dispute filed by ZTEC Digital against Tesla over allegations of trademark infringement. The matter has been pending before the court since March 2024, and with it set for another hearing in mid-April 2025, all eyes are on how mediations between the two companies will unfold.

Tesla, the electric vehicle giant, was accused by ZTEC Digital of infringing on its trademark rights related to 'Tesla', used by Indian automobile body maker. As proceedings have been ongoing for months now, both parties have sought resolution through a mediator.

While exact details regarding the status of talks are not available, an advocate close to mediation indicates that there may be considerable progress expected before the court's next hearing date in April 2025.
