Delhi Government Launches Initiative to Foster Entrepreneurship in Universities
New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday launched a new initiative called Business Blasters Senior Programme for universities, marking a significant expansion of the existing program that focuses on nurturing entrepreneurship among students. The new program aims to empower university students and ITI trainees to turn their business ideas into successful start-ups.
The initiative was launched by Chief Minister Atishi, who emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurship among young adults. While many universities in Delhi have excellent placement records, there is a growing need for such programs that foster creativity, innovation, and risk-taking.
Under the new program, seed money of Rs 50,000 will be offered to student teams at universities to develop and turn their business ideas into successful start-ups. The initiative aims to equip university students with the skills, confidence, and network required to become job creators, contributing significantly to India's economy.
The launch event featured a panel discussion with former participants of the school-level program, who shared their success stories of transforming small seed funds into thriving businesses. The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the program's potential to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among young adults, making Delhi a hub for business and technology globally.
With this initiative, Delhi aims to build on its strengths in education and create a new generation of entrepreneurs and leaders who will drive growth and prosperity in India.
