DELCI'S BREATHE: DELHI Registers Cleanest First Half of the Year

New Delhi, Dec 31 - A significant improvement has been observed in the city's air quality with the recorded cleanest first half of the year, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The last report showed a modest decline in Delhi's smog levels as only one "very poor" air day was recorded between December 1 and 15.

A notable improvement in air quality was observed on Monday, with an AQI of 173, falling into the "moderate" category. This marked the eighth consecutive moderate air quality day for the month, indicating a dramatic improvement from Sunday's readings which hit 225, categorized as poor.

Historically, Delhi's moderate air quality days have been few in December past years, suggesting significant progress has been made in reducing pollutant levels this year. The overall data indicates an encouraging trend - an unmistakable positive turn towards cleaner air in the nation's capital.
