Dallas Cowboys Coach Rumors Gains Momentum as Newton Backs Deion Sanders

Dallas, TX - In a recent episode of his podcast "4th & 1 with Cam Newton", former quarterback Cam Newton threw his support behind Coach Prime's potential arrival in Dallas as the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

With quarterback Dak Prescott being let go after failure to reach an agreement on a new contract, the team's owner Jerry Jones is seen seeking a fresh start under Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime. Sanders has made a name for himself with his turnaround of Colorado Buffaloes over two seasons but many question how long he can sustain a winning record at such high levels.

Newton argued that coaches like Bill Belichick and Steve Kerr may not have the same level of success in comparison to Coach Prime's impressive resume. "Prime is a sports gem, and that's why I can really see it, because... Jerry Jones knew the importance of certain things in business," Newton said.

In fact, Newton proposed the Cowboys trade Prescott for Colorado Buffaloes' quarterback Shedeur Sanders who is expected to be an early pick in next year's draft. "Let's just say they draft Shedeur Sanders or find a way to get Shedeur Sanders as a rookie, and let's just say they go to the Super Bowl," Newton added.

Newton's co-host, Omari Collins, mentioned that coaches don't turn teams around overnight but agreed that Sanders would need at least three years to achieve significant success. However, the former NFL star noted the swift rise and fall of Jerod Mayo after one season as a New England Patriots' coach, expressing concern about Coach Prime maintaining consistency.

While expressed doubts exist, Newton maintained that owners like Jerry Jones prioritize business decisions, citing Sanders' potential impact on the Cowboys' brand. "I don't know how many flowers I can throw at Coach Prime, but he's the biggest sports coach in the world," Newton said emphatically.

With Coach Prime as a prominent contender for Dallas Cowboy coaching position, fans and pundits are eagerly anticipating the news that Jones may bring forth about his next move.
