Conecta Fiction & Entertainment Awards Hands Out Prizes to Standout Projects from Around the Globe

Cuenca, Spain - The 2025 edition of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, an international forum celebrating scripted series, docudramas, musical series, and interactive formats, concluded with a lively awards gala on Tuesday evening at the Teatro Auditorio José Luis Perales. Twenty-one prizes were handed out across five pitching categories, recognizing outstanding talent and projects in the television industry.
Spain-Colombia co-production "Tourette" was among the big winners this year, taking home three honors. The teen romance drama follows a young man who pretends to have Tourette's syndrome after being fired for an outburst at a feminist colleague. During a psychiatric visit, he meets Lucía, changing his course forever.
Another three-time winner from this year's field was "Password," produced by CTV, FilmBrigade, and Comarex. A social fiction series for teens, the show tracks six stories where passwords open doors to new challenges, dilemmas, and digital identities.
The Conecta Editorial Committees handpicked 30 international projects to participate in five pitch sessions from a field of 438 submissions, up 38% from last year. Projects came from 39 countries, with 68% originating from Europe, 31% from the Americas, and 1% from Asia.
TV presenter Ana Isabel Albares and Conecta Director Géraldine Gonard hosted the awards ceremony, which was preceded by a special session spotlighting the upcoming Movistar Plus+ release "La Caza. Irati," the fourth installment in the hit franchise produced by Banijay Entertainment's DLO Producciones.
