CM Mann Campaigns in Delhi, Tensions Rise Over Yamuna Row as Kejriwal and Saini Clashes

Chandigarh, January 31 - In a series of developments that has left the politics of Punjab and Delhi on high alert, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned in Delhi, sparking speculation about a possible entry into the national politics. Meanwhile, tensions between AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and Haryana CM Manojit Saini are escalating over the issue of Yamuna's deteriorating water quality.

In Delhi, CM Mann met several top bureaucrats and MLAs, signaling his plan to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Similarly, Haryana CM Saini unleashed a scathing attack on Kejriwal, accusing him of being indifferent towards the suffering of the people due to polluted Yamuna.

The situation took a dramatic turn as Kejriwal demanded a criminal case be filed against Saini over his alleged role in depleting the water supply. A strongly worded letter to the Election Commission (EC) of India, Kejriwal accused Saini of orchestrating a poisonous row that posed a threat to public health.

Seven sitting AAP MLAs from Delhi have quit the party amidst this political turmoil, leaving Kejriwal in a precarious situation. The CM has been facing criticism from his own party for his alleged inability to address pressing issues, including the Yamuna conundrum and rising pollution levels.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government transferred eight IAS officers who had drawn flak nationwide following allegations against Saini. Furthermore, seven AAP MLAs with a total of 18 assembly seats have left the party before the Delhi state election gets over. This move has not sat well with Kejriwal, exposing deep cracks within his party.

This development comes as the nation is grappling with growing concerns about communal and caste-based violence. Amidst such tumultuous times, what future holds for CM Mann's family and what will be Arvind Kejriwal's next steps would ultimately define the electoral map for Delhi 2020s?
