Chinese Tech Giant Baidu Unveils AI-Powered Text-to-Image Generator and No-Code Developer Platform
Beijing, China - In a move that solidifies its position in the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, Chinese tech giant Baidu has introduced two innovative products: I-RAG, a text-to-image generator, and Miaoda, a no-code developer platform.
According to CEO Robin Li, who unveiled these new technologies at Baidu's annual World Conference on Tuesday, both products are part of the company's growing portfolio of AI offerings that it plans to make available to its user base in the near future.
I-RAG, which stands for "Intelligent Reverse Augmentation Generator," utilizes Baidu's search capabilities to generate images from speech, addressing what is known as the "hallucinations" issue. These hallucinations refer to images produced by large language model (LLM)-based AI that deviate from the original input prompt or contain non-existent elements.
On the other hand, Miaoda offers a no-code developer platform that leverages the capabilities of LLMs to generate code, aiming to simplify application development for users without extensive coding expertise. Industry experts note that this is in line with the trend seen among US-based AI companies, which are also providing similar tools and features to develop applications through visual interfaces, complete with reusable components and advanced developer assistance.
Manukrishnan SR, practice director for Everest Group, observed in a report that Baidu's new offerings signal its expansion into various aspects of AI development. "As the AI technology continues to advance," he said, "it is essential for companies like Baidu to invest in these platforms to stay competitive and innovative in their respective markets."
