Charli XCX Wins Big at Grammys Premiere Ceremony

LOS ANGELES, JANUARY [DATE] - The 67th annual Grammy Awards have kicked off with British singer Charli XCX picking up two major wins, including Best Dance/Electronic Album for her culture-shaping sixth record Brat and Best Dance Pop Recording for its lead single Von Dutch.
The awards were handed out at the Grammys premiere ceremony held on Sunday in Los Angeles, ahead of the main event at the Crypto.com Arena. Australian singer Troye Sivan praised Charli XCX for her wins, describing her as an "incredible" artist and expressing his excitement for her big night.
Charli XCX's album Brat has been inspiring a summer trend, earning the star numerous prizes and #BRATSWEEP trending on social media. Now, she is one step closer to making career-defining history at the Grammys.
US superstar Beyonce led the nominations with 11 nods for her chart-topping country album Cowboy Carter, but the title of most decorated album could be snatched away from her. Santana's Supernatural holds the current record of nine Grammy wins in 2000.
Beyoncé also leads the nominations for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, where she won her first award of the night with a song featuring Miley Cyrus.
Other winners included US rapper Kendrick Lamar, who took home prizes for Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.
Country singer Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Song for her song The Architect with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
Additionally, US singer Sabrina Carpenter secured the first Grammy win of the night for Best Pop Solo Performance, earning a spot to perform at the main ceremony alongside Charli XCX, Billie Eilish's Bird Of A Feather singer and Chappell Roan.
