CHAKHESANG YOUTH ORGANISATION CONCLUDES 27TH BIENNIAL SPORTS MEET WITH GREAT SENSATION
Dimapur, January 16 - The 27th Biennial Sports Meet of the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) came to a close on January 11 with great fanfare, bringing together members from Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland, and Peren districts. The event, which took place from January 6 to 11, saw Diezephe Village lift the trophy in Men's Football and Women's Volleyball, while Sodzulhu Village claimed the Men's Volleyball Championship.
The closing ceremony was attended by a guest of honor, Vekhosayi Nyekha, former President of WCYO. MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu sent his best wishes to the organization through Nyekha, congratulating them on successfully conducting the 27th Biennial Sports Meet.
Asato Nyekha chaired the program while Kiesalie Thopi, former President of WCYO, exhorted the gathering. Mudozhoyi Shijoh, Treasurer of WCYO, pronounced the vote of thanks and Velhuto Keyho, Cultural Secretary, WCYO, took over prize distribution.
The event also saw Chümoukedima lift the championship trophy in Basketball for both men and women. The closing prayer was pronounced by Shepota Nusori, Pastor of Jalukie Zangdi Baptist Church.
The 27th Biennial Sports Meet was a spectacular event that brought together youth from across the districts to participate in various athletic events, promoting unity and healthy competition among Chakhesang community members.
