Centre Leverages Innovation to Upskill Teachers for India's Future Growth

New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) - The government has launched "The Teacher App," a cutting-edge platform designed to enhance the skills of teacher professionals in line with the new National Education Policy (NEP), according to Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan.

Speaking at the app's launch event on Monday, Pradhan emphasized the significance of leveraging innovation and technology to support teachers' continuous capacity building. "Teachers are the true backbone of our country, shaping the minds of future generations," he stated.

Pradhan also highlighted the pivotal role that teachers will play in enabling India's youth to navigate the knowledge-driven world of the 21st century. "As we stand at the threshold of this new era, it is imperative that our educators are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to prepare our children for success," he added.

The Teacher App, developed by Bharti Airtel Foundation, offers a comprehensive platform for teacher professional growth, featuring innovative course content, technology-driven learning tools, and community-building features. "This app will empower teachers through continuous capacity building, equipping them with the expertise required to tackle the evolving education landscape," Pradhan assured.

With its launch, the Teacher App is poised to revolutionize the way teachers learn, adapt, and grow, ultimately contributing to India's future growth and development.
