Canada's Figure Skaters Announced for 2025 Four Continents and World Championships
Toronto, ON - Canadian figure skaters have been named to represent the country at this year's Four Continents and World Figure Skating Championships.
The top skaters will compete in the 2025 Canadian National Skating Championships from January 14-19, with senior figure skating events taking place from January 17-19. Reigning pairs world champions Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps are determined to secure their third straight national title, while Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier will vie for a fourth national ice dance title.
The championships will be held at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, and feature a combined schedule of senior figure skating events, junior events, as well as synchronised skating. The event will serve as a key selection point for the Four Continents, World Junior Championships, World Championships, as well as World Junior Synchronised and World Synchronised Championships.
Stellato-Dudek and Deschamps could secure their first national title since Stellato-Dudek's citizenship was received in December. Meanwhile, Gilles and Poirier will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing Grand Prix campaign and bring home another national ice dance title.
