Borussia Dortmund in Chase for Rashford, Real Madrid Eye Savinho
In a transfer market that is heating up, Borussia Dortmund are pushing to beat AC Milan to signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on loan this month. The Bundesliga side's decision was reportedly made after their defeat last week against Bayer Leverkusen.
Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl and manager Nuri Şahin are leading the pursuit of the 27-year-old, who is also wanted by AC Milan in a bid to strengthen their midfield. However, the competition for Rashford's signature appears fierce, with AC Milan still actively trying to secure a deal this month.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are considering a move for Manchester City winger Savinho in what could be a major coup for the Los Blancos bosses. Although their interest is said to be "in its infancy," the 20-year-old has shown potential by impressing on his senior debut for Brazil in March last year and has played a further 10 times for his country, scoring once.
In other transfer news, Juventus could make a move for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori if the Rossoneri sign Manchester United defender Kyle Walker this month. With Walker being viewed as a potential centre-back option by new Milan manager Sérgio Conceição, Tomori might soon find himself further down the pecking order at San Siro.
Additionally, Bayern Munich have contacted Dortmund forward Jamie Gittens after Leroy Sané's contract negotiations broke down with the Bundesliga giants. However, it appears unlikely that Bayern will be able to pry Gittens away from his current club, who are bound to him until June 2028.
Finally, Al Ahli has agreed a deal in principle to appoint Italian head coach Massimiliano Allegri as their new boss for next season, marking the end of one chapter and the start of another at the Arabian club. While details are still being ironed out, Allegri is said to be almost ready to join the club later this year.
