Bollywood Superstars Praise PM Modi's Vision for WAVES Summit 2025

New Delhi: The Indian entertainment industry is abuzz with excitement after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced plans to host the inaugural World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in February 2025. Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have expressed their enthusiasm for the summit, praising PM Modi's vision for positioning India as a global hub for creative content.

Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on December 30, 2024, to share his thoughts on WAVES. The superstar wrote: "It's with great anticipation that I look forward to WAVES – a film and entertainment world summit – to be held in our country itself. An occasion that celebrates our industry and acknowledges the role it plays in the Indian economy as well as its strength as a soft power."

Akshay Kumar also shared his excitement for the upcoming summit, posting: "Now this is PM @narendramodi ji's vision towards promoting the Media & Entertainment sector. Quite a wonderful idea. Waves 2025 summit will hopefully be a fabulous global forum to have the entire entertainment industry come and grow together."

The WAVES Summit is expected to attract prominent figures from the media and entertainment sectors, as well as participants from the creative world. The initiative aims to recognize India's content industry and its vast potential.

The event is set to be held from February 5, 2025, to February 9, 2025, in India. With its announcement, PM Modi has emphasized that young creators will play an integral role in this summit.
